What to Expect at Your Real Estate Photoshoot
Make your home stand out from the competition!
WolfReel Visuals a Step Above the Rest
Whether you’re selling your home or just wanting some nice shots for prosperity, here’s what you can expect from your real estate photoshoot:
We begin with a walk-through of the property with you to get an idea of the space and what features you want to highlight.
We will shoot a number of overall shots of the property in order to capture what is known as the hero shot. This shot typically shows the front of the property and gives potential buyers a sense of what the property looks like. It is very important because it is the first shot potential buyers will see of the property, and if you have created a website for the property, it is the shot that would appear in the header of the webpage.
We will take shots of each individual room, including any standout features, such as fireplaces or built-in shelving.
Then we will take photos of any outdoor spaces, such as patios or gardens. This can be shot during the day, or often we shoot “twilight” shots as the sun is setting, with all of the internal and external lights on. This can result in stunning photographs of the home.
The length of the photoshoot depends on each individual property including the number of rooms and features. And whether or not, along with daylight photos, you would also like twilight shots taken.
Smaller homes can take a couple of hours, but larger more complicated homes can take 8 hours or more, sometimes requiring a day or two. This is especially true when 3D tours of the home, created with the Matterport, are required; or if we will be capturing aerial drone photography and video of your property and surrounding areas of interest.
After the shoot, we will then provide you with proofs so you can choose the images you prefer. After which we will edit the photos to enhance their beauty and send them to you within a week or two.

What You Need To Do To Prepare Your Home For A Real Estate Photoshoot
There are a few simple steps you can take to prepare for your photoshoot to ensure your photos turn out great.
First, make sure the inside of your home is clean and clutter-free. It is also best, if possible, to arrange for a day when the house can be free of guests, children, and pets. This will help ensure the house remains uncluttered and allow us to capture the best possible photographs.
Next, real estate photography is all about showcasing a property in its best light. By taking the time to prepare the space, you’ll help buyers visualize themselves living there. And while there are certain tricks of the trade photographers use to make a space look its best, there are also a few things homeowners can do to prepare their home for a photoshoot. And it all revolves around staging.

3 Tips On How To Stage Your Home For A Real Estate Photoshoot
1) Declutter and depersonalize: In order to help potential buyers see themselves in the home, it’s important to declutter and depersonalize. This means removing personal items like family photos and mementos, as well as any excess furniture or clutter.
2) Focus on key features: When staging a home for real estate photography, it’s important to focus on key features that will help sell the property. This might include things like the fireplace, built-in shelving, or large windows.
3) Create inviting spaces: It’s important to create inviting spaces that potential buyers will want to spend time in. This might mean setting the table for dinner, arranging cozy-looking seating areas, or adding some strategically placed greenery. Secondly, stage the home to your furniture in a way that is pleasing to the eye. This will create a more inviting atmosphere in the photos. Lastly, make sure you have good lighting throughout your home. Check all the light fixtures and lamps to ensure all of the light bulbs work and that they are bright. This will help us capture the best possible shots.
In short, you want to make the property look as inviting as possible.
If you follow these simple tips and taking the time to stage your home, you help ensure your Real Estate Photography shoot will go smoothly and result in beautiful pictures of your home. Ultimately, this could lead to a quicker sale at a higher price.
